Marshfield School of Weaving

Traditional Weaving and Textile Work
Mentor Artist: Kate Smith

On the upper floor of a converted barn in Marshfield, Vermont a maze of giant wooden ‘barn frame’ looms and smaller table-top machines whirr and clack as students work the colorful threads of warp and weft. Mentor artist Kate Smith teaches weaving on historic equipment and encourages students to explore textile traditions from their own personal heritage.
