Pulp Culture Comic Arts Festival Symposium
The 2018 Pulp Culture Comic Arts Festival and Symposium is upon us! This year we have invited an amazing array of cartoonists from the US and Canada, including Stephen R. Bissette, John Chad, Glynnis Fawkes, Jaime Hernadez, James Kochalka, Rachel Lindsay, Eric Shanower, Rob Walton, Craig Yoe and many others to explore the theme of Folklore: Fairy Tales, Monsters and Mythology.
All events held at the University of Vermont in Burlington.
The event features keynote presentations by Jaime Hernandez (10/26) and Julian Chambliss (10/27), a pre-event keynote by Jason Lutes (9/27), and on October 27, discussion panels on Fairy Tales, Folk Horror, Classical Mythology and Superheroes, and an exhibition hall filled with cartoonists selling their stuff!
Presented by the Fleming Museum, the University of Vermont and the Vermont Folklife Center, Pulp Culture is sponsored by College of Arts and Sciences, Office of the President, Office of the Provost, UVM Humanities Center, Department of English and the Department of Classics.
