Submit Your Materials

How to submit materials to Listening in Place

The Listening in Place Sound Archive currently accepts two kinds of materials: audio recordings and photographic images. There are two ways to contribute materials: via our online uploader or via email.

Before you can submit your recordings and photos to the Archive we need the following things:

  • A completed Submission Form for each recording or image (files).

  • An acknowledgment that you are the creator of the recording or image being submitted.

  • An acknowledgment that the person or people featured on the recording or in the image gave you their permission to make a recording or take a photograph of them and submit the recording or image to the Vermont Folklife Center.

  • Your current contact information.

  • A statement on permissions.

PLEASE NOTE: If submitting via email please write to listening@vermontfolklifecenter.org prior to sending any files and request a PDF Submission Form. A VFC staff member will provide you with one and then make arrangements to receive your files.
